Easy Enneagram Type Test
Welcome to a new way of finding out your enneagram type. I can't promise it will definitely work, but it is quick, easy and doesn't require answering lots of questions, so give it a go!
No questions? So it's not a quiz?
No, it's more about shining a light on what is going on under the surface. There are lots of enneagram quizzes you can take on other internet sites. I find those quizzes quite fun to do but I have noticed they quite often misidentify people's type.
Why? Well, I once watched an Eight fill one in and answer 'No' to the question, 'Are you confrontational?' I was amazed, as from my perspective she often starts arguments. She believes, however, that she is calm and fair and rarely conflicts with others.
This helped me realise the limitations in quizzes that ask us to make choices about our own personality. Our perception of ourselves can be so clouded that we find it really difficult see ourselves clearly, so the quiz ends up giving inaccurate answers.

So how does this test work?
It shines a light directly on our present experience, on what our inner 'motor' is doing.
Each type has a drive, like a motor that moves them forward. Even when you try to stop it and do nothing, the motor keeps whirring away. It is impossible to stop it for long. The experience each type has when they try to stop their motor is very different. The three steps for this test are very simple:
Step 1. Sit still , close you eyes and try to think of nothing for a short period of time (around 30 seconds is fine). Don't go to step 2 until you have done this.
Step 2. Look at this list and see which experience you identify with. Please don't look at the list until you have completed Step 1.
Step 3. Once you have chosen an experience, click on it to see which type that experience relates to. That is probably the type you are. You may find there are a couple of experiences that you relate to, so read the type descriptions for both of them to make sure.
