Happiness for Enneagram Type 6

A Six has a few typical traps:

  •  - Feeling vulnerable and fearful.
  •  - Needing to form alliances with a group but then forming barriers against those not in their group.
  •  - Questioning authority by gossiping or criticising from a safe distance.
  •  - Indecisiveness, suspicion and worry.
  •  - A need to 'test the boundaries' of others with occasional sarcasm or rudeness.

If you are a Six, sit still and quietly and notice how active your mind is, how doubts and questions keep coming up.

The main tip for a type Six is to develop a trusting belief in their own innate goodness. By turning the attention towards themselves, it becomes clear that they habitually have difficulties trusting their own motivations and are usually looking for an authority outside of themselves. By making it a habit to affirm their goodness and rightness, they start to strengthen the connection with their own internal guidance. See the video above for demonstration.
