Happiness for Enneagram Type Eights

An Eight has a few typical traps:

  •  - Confronting others regularly as a way of asserting their dominance.
  •  - Seeing others as too wishy-washy and meek.
  •  - Hedonism and recklessness due a feeling of invincibility.
  •  - Confusion as to why others find them intimidating when they feel they are just being straightforward.

If you are an Eight, sit still and quietly and notice how it is a challenge to be told what to do by someone else. It may be that you refuse to do this at all.

The main tip for a type Eight is to accept that all efforts to dominate the world around them only lead to suffering. They can remind themselves that it is OK to just relax and let what will happen, happen naturally and gently, without having to force anything.   When they let go, they find a feeling of peace and power simultaneously. See the video above for demonstration.
