Happiness for Enneagram Type Ones

A One has a few typical traps:
  •  - Focussing on imperfections
  •  - Taking on the responsibility of improving themselves, others and the world around them.
  •  - Not allowing themselves to enjoy life.
  •  - Becoming obsessive about certain values, such as cleanliness or honesty.
  •  - Being plagued by a critical, judging voice.

If you are a One, sit still and quietly and notice how quickly your thoughts turn to the imperfections in yourself, in others or in world around you.

The main tip for a type One is to believe and act like everything is already perfect. This can sound a little crazy and impossible. How can I believe that everything is perfect when there is so much wrong everywhere I look? This is such an important step though. When you are in the mindset the world is imperfect you are really saying you believe that the universe is unfolding in the wrong way, meaning you are resisting the universe! Little by little, it is possible to act as if everything is perfect already and once you have practice, it gets easier and easier. See the video above for demonstration.
