JoshuaWhen I was at drama school, my mother got me a book all about personality types to help me develop characters. As soon as I read about enneagram Fours something clicked inside. This symbol knew me! I was creative; I was jealous; I was grumpy... I was a Four! Over a decade has passed. I still love the enneagram; the only difference is now I love it because I realised that I am not a Four (or social 4-7-9 with a 5-wing to be a bit more specific!) - I just played the part of one. Once I realised this, I started to glimpse the possibility of a broader self behind the facade. It's like learning to see that I was just playing a character and realising I didn't have to take that character seriously any more. I'm particularly drawn to using my enneagram strengths (authenticity, lovingness, playfulness) to help people align their life with their own strengths. I believe we are here to live lives that are joyful, meaningful and full of letting our unique light shine. |
